Sound Design Focus โ Building the Atmosphere

Sound design is becoming one of the most important parts of the atmosphere. Rather than using audio only to support what is visible on screen, I am working on making sound carry information, uncertainty, and tension on its own.
Making the environment feel alive
The current focus is on layers: distant mechanical noise, environmental movement, room tone, radio interference, and small positional sounds that make spaces feel active even when nothing obvious is happening.
Using silence deliberately
Silence matters just as much as sound. Pulling layers away at the right moment can make a simple interaction feel much more uncomfortable. The goal is not constant noise; it is controlled contrast.
